Electric parade truck,
sound and DJ
The job called for a parade truck that could carry the client's own styling and their own music the whole way — without a generator. That is what we delivered.
- Electric tractor unit
- Parade truck prepared for the route
- Battery-powered sound system
- DJ position on the truck
- Driver for the full route
On the route
The tractor unit was electric and the rig ran on battery. There was neither exhaust nor generator noise on the route.
The client's own styling filled the truck: full-height balloon arches and banners along the sides. We supplied the vehicle, the power and the sound. The rest was Strawberry's.
What a parade truck costs
A parade truck starts at DKK 58,500 excl. VAT and rises with size and setup. An electric tractor unit like the one here carries a surcharge.
- Parade truck — from DKK 58,500 excl. VAT
- Electric tractor unit — surcharge, subject to availability
On top of that comes Copenhagen Pride's own sponsorship fee, historically around DKK 75,000. It varies from year to year and goes to the organiser, not to us.
Questions
Can we handle the styling of the vehicle ourselves?
Yes. On this job the balloon arches and banners were Strawberry's own. We supply the vehicle, the power and the sound — the look is yours.
Can you hire an electric parade truck for your own parade?
Yes, for a surcharge and when one is available. As standard we supply a truck running on HVO — renewable diesel.
What is the difference between a battery rig and a generator?
The sound is the same. The difference is that the generator is gone: no engine noise under the music and no unit on the vehicle.
Want to run the same way?
Write to us with the parade and the date. You get a concrete quote back. An electric vehicle carries a surcharge and requires one to be free. See what we supply.
